Early Childhood Education Intern

About the Internship

Students receive hands-on experience in an authentic early childhood education environment, including classroom observation, lesson planning and implementation, curriculum experience, small-group instruction, observation and assessment, classroom management, reflective practice, and supervised team teaching.

Pre-K Experience

Kingdom Care Preschool is an approved Pre-K private provider. Interns have the opportunity to gain experience in a community-based Pre-K setting connected to Maryland’s expansion of early childhood education and the goals of the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future.

Professional Mentorship

Interns receive direct mentoring from Kelly Gates, B.S. Psych., M.A.T. (Dec. ’26), Director and Founder of Kingdom Care Preschool. Kelly also serves as a mentor for graduate students through the Department of Education at Notre Dame of Maryland University.
